At Premiere, our motto is About You | About Work | About Time—and we stand by it. Our mission is simple: to help as many of our models secure as much paid work as possible. Nothing more, nothing less.
Ask any model—whether they are just starting out or have years of experience—what they want most, and the answer will almost always be the same: work, work, work. Whether they are students, stay-at-home parents, unemployed individuals, or full-time workers responding to an advertisement for modelling opportunities, they all share a common goal: to earn extra income through modelling.
It’s the same reason Luke has purchased an expensive train ticket from Manchester to London, Claire is traveling from Edinburgh to Birmingham, and a devoted mother has taken a day off work to accompany teenage Chloe from Bristol to Manchester. Each of them is headed to a model test shoot, assessment, or interview—call it what you will, it all serves the same purpose—suitcase in hand, ready for outfit changes. This scene plays out daily, seven days a week, as countless aspiring models take steps toward their dream.
Why do so many people invest their time, energy, and money in these endeavours? The answer is clear: to become a model and earn a meaningful income. Of course, the prestige of being able to tell friends, “I’m a model,” may play a small role, but at the end of the day, financial gain is the ultimate goal. Money makes the world go round, and as the saying goes, money talks. Or, to borrow from the classic film Jerry Maguire: Show me the money!
This pursuit of paid opportunities is what drives aspiring models to scour online platforms such as Google and Gumtree in search of agencies and companies promising to help them break into the industry. The reality is that simply holding the title of “model” won’t pay the rent or mortgage—only regular, well-paid work can do that. Even the most reputable agencies will admit that there are no guarantees in the modelling industry. Agencies can represent their models to the best of their ability, but ultimately, only one party decides whether a model gets booked: the paying client. It’s not the agency, the studio, a supportive friend, or even a family member—it’s the client who holds the power to determine whether a model is hired.
By now, we trust you see the bigger picture.
At Premiere, we recognize that most models understand there are no guarantees in this industry. However, what they do expect is for the company representing them to put in genuine effort. They don’t expect miracles, but they do expect transparency, dedication, and a strong commitment to securing opportunities on their behalf. When models see that a company is actively working to help them, they are far more likely to feel confident and reassured rather than frustrated and anxious.
While we cannot promise work to every model—since success also depends on a model’s own drive and availability—we can guarantee that we will work tirelessly to create as many opportunities as possible. Our commitment is to consistently push boundaries, leverage every available resource, and connect our models with as many potential clients as possible.
